There is a wind coming in from the southeast, stirring up the shores of Lake Garda and Mount Baldo. It roars in – long, intense and tempestuous – to forge the vineyards and give them their name: Vinessa.
A wind that is not seen, but perceived. Just as we can perceive the flavour, essence and character of the wines that it begets.
From clay and rock, on steep slopes, the Vinessa vines are rooted in a unique terroir between the lake and mountain.
Thus we reap powerful, heroic and organic wines, the direct manifestation of a naturally extraordinary terroir.
The geology of these areas reveals their history: clay soils, rich in calcareous and dolomite rocks, form a unique combination for the growth of the vines as well as providing minerality and acidity to the wine.

VITICULTURE
Vinessa represents heroic viticulture because it survives and thrives, day after day, in the difficult conditions of the terroir. It is an exciting adventure.
But it is also a young and innovative viticulture, which focuses on maintaining the vegetative vigour and crop load in equilibrium in order to achieve healthy, high-quality grapes.
Growing resistant vines with organic farming methods reduces environmental impact in the vineyard by minimising the use of phytosanitary treatments.
